The TeamUpTelecom vBroadcast application is used to place outbound calls, send SMS, and appointment reminders to a list of targeted recipients. This application is not intended to be used as a marketing tool, but instead as a communication tool for the user's active customer base.
Outbound Calling Concepts
When a recipient answers an outbound call placed by the vBroadcast application, the application can take any of these actions:
- Play a pre-recorded audio file and hang up
- Play a pre-recorded audio file then transfer the call to a Call Center Agent or DID
- Connect immediately with a Call Center Agent or DID (with no pre-recorded audio file)
The vBroadcast application is designed to be used in conjunction with the TeamUpTelecom WebContact Call Center Suite. Connected calls can be transferred to an Agent within the PBX Domain using an inbound trunk on the PBX. Outbound calls to recipients can be limited based on agents' availability such that the system will only make outbound calls if an agent is available to talk with the recipient.
SMS Sending Concepts
The TeamUpTelecom vBroadcast application can also be used for an SMS blast, which will send a message to many recipients. An SMS-enabled Toll-Free telephone number must be used as the sender of SMS messages. The inbound portion of the SMS Enabled Toll-Free number can be routed to another service in the Manage DID Portal.
Note: It is possible to route your SMS-enabled Toll-Free number inbound to TeamUpTelecom's SMS Responder so the inbound messages will be replied to with automated responses.
Appointment Reminders Concept
The TeamUpTelecom vBroadcast application can send appointment reminders via a call, an SMS, or both options to a list of recipients on a set schedule before an appointment.
